2022 6’3 Rodney Rice | Bullis
The talented and skilled rising sophomore was back at it again Thursday night showing off how well he score the basketball. Rice finished with 23 points while also tallying 5 rebounds and 2 assists in a win over McKinley Tech. Rice has a chance to be the number 1 prospect in the initial 2022 class Maryland/DC rankings.
2020 6’1 Marcus Dockery | Bishop O’Connell
O’Connell is going to need the Maryland commit to take it up a notch next year if they want to contend for a WCAC title and so far during summer league Dockery has looked the part. Dockery shot 50% from the field last night finishing with 17 points in a 6 point win agains Springbrook.
2022 6’7 David Onanina | Bishop O’Connell
Get familiar with this name. Onanina is going to be one of the catalyst down low for the Knights this upcoming season and years beyong. Onanina is super strong and bulky and has already been showing how effective he can be in the low post. What stood out the most last night was his efforts on the glass finishing with 8 rebounds.
2022 6’1 Elijah Williams | Bowie
Bowie had multiple people stand out but I decided to go with Williams. Williams went 6/10 from the field and 5/7 from the free line finishing with 17 points in a win against Landon. Bowie needed somebody to rise up to the occasion and score the basketball when the game was close and Williams was that guy that answered to that challenge.
2020 6’5 Markeith Franks | Gwynn Park
Franks looked tremendous last night while falling 2 rebounds short of a double along with his 20 points. Franks was playing hard and really getting after it around the rim while driving. Paint Branch had nobody that could stop his physical presence.
