Built much like the small forward group, the shooting guards are talented and deep. With over 20 prospects at this group currently, we like the possibly development coming. They are led by Reggie Bass (Muncie Central) and Tayven Jackson (Center Grove) at the top. These two are potential national level talents with a ton of upside to draw from. Reggie looks like he is ready to breakout as we speak.
But, there is so much depth at the top here. With Chris Gunn (Lawrence North) and Peter Suder (Carmel), you have two guys that really know how to play and have skill that can handle the game now. Beyond them, Matt Wagner (Evansville Bosse), Bobby Wonnell (Kokomo), and Conner Essegian (Central Noble) are starting to pick up steam and could be even higher come next rankings.
We have added quite a few guys, 9 to be exact. Wonnell is the top guy added this time around but David Lloyd (Hamilton Southeastern), Bryan Marshall (Franklin Central), and Zach Reed (Carmel) stand out as some of the more intriguing options.
Overall, this position is pretty solid. Good star power up top with depth for DI programs and a lot of players that are going to develop quickly and likely move up. It needs to become deeper but there is still plenty of time for that.
