Utah is usually grossly under recruited and a lot of players are missed. We even have great players play at Division 1 schools outside of the state that local schools missed on.
Which brings us to an intriguing prospect in 6’7 F Lino Saez of Layton Christian. Lino averaged 19 points per game playing on a 2A squad that was able to win state. The well polished big man runs the floor well and has a smooth inside outside game. He makes for an ideal 4-man that can truly stretch the floor.
Lino has enough talent to make a roster at the NAIA or the right D2 school. With Lino being an international student the school he attends will have to be the right fit as well. There has been some slight NJCAA interest.
What makes Lino a more intriguing prospect is that he plays at a high level with his National Team Chile. He is able to score rebound and have positive impacts on the game against high level competition.
