Elijah Elliot – Point Guard – Cooz Elite – 2020
Elliot fits in perfectly with his new team providing another ball-handling and scoring option off the bench. The 6-foot guard was electric in scoring the rock from each level on the floor and finding his teammates after dusting by defenders. Elliot led his team scoring with 18 points in the close win over the Colorado Hawks. Cooz Elite ‘s designated spark plug is currently sitting on a lone offer from Sam Houston State.
Mekai Pope – Shooting Guard – Lone Star Mustangs – 2020
Pope had one of the best scoring performances in the gym on Friday night. The newly DeSoto transfer put up a game-high 30 points in a win over the Las Vegas Punishers. He always found himself open from behind the arc and constantly made the defense pay for their mistakes. Pope also made a few nice open floor passes from the lead guard spot. A position that he will be relied on to play full time come his senior season. The quick sniper guard has heard from Central Oklahoma, but expect others to jump on board soon.
Devon Hancock – Shooting Guard – Lone Star Mustangs – 2020
Pope’s backcourt mate was just as effective scoring the rock. Hancock connected on shots from downtown and played above the rim in the open floor. He is one whose energy increases each time he makes something happen on the offensive end. Hancock barely trailed Pope on the scoresheet, but not by much. The Mesquite Horn guard scored an exciting 29 points in the victory.
Tay Mosher – Power Forward – Texas Impact 4:13 – 2021
Mosher displayed more facets within his game than I’m used to seeing. Known as a catch and shoot threat, Mosher put the ball on the floor got his spots in the mid-range and converted. He also competed for fifty balls and did not mind getting physical off-ball. Traits such as these are ones that need to be habitual. With great size and skill at 6-foot-7, Mosher’s effort on the floor will be key in his recruitment.
Cade Hornecker – Center – Lone Star Mustangs – 2022
West Texas has a potentially skilled giant in Hornecker. The rising sophomore has a chance to be very special and is currently producing while unveiling upside. At 6-foot-10, Hornecker possesses a solid feel for the game and showed touch out to 20 feet. As his body matures and he seeks physicality, he will become an intimidating and skilled inside-out force that schools will heavily desire.
