Continue ReadingThe Family 17u spent the first live period in Atlanta at the 2019 EYBL. They sent a message to the rest of the country that they are a legitimate Peach Jam contender. The Family 17u ended with a 4-0 record, and as 1 of only 4 undefeated teams. The Family found a way to win games in multiple ways. They were prolific on offense, averaging 80.5 points per game. They also showed that they could play lockdown defense, holding 2 teams to 68 points and under.
Quite possibly the biggest takeaway from The Family 17u’s performance was the grit and toughness of their roster. There won’t be another team in the Nike EYBL that outhustles them or shows more determination. Players like Scooby Johnson, Jalen Terry, and Maliq Carr are as tough as they come and set a warrior like mentality for the team.
