KC Stock Risers: A look at forwards who are raising their profile (2020)

With the spring grassroots season underway, Prep Hoops takes a look at several Kansas City area forwards in the 2020 class who are raising their profile.

11-Josh Butler, 6’5, 2020, Lee’s Summit West, Marcus Denmon Elite

Butler has speed, strength and agility. He stays center court when on a fast break and can clean up plays and score through contact and connect from the free throw line. He’s bouncy when he needs to be and pull in a rebound against a stronger, taller post player inside.

32-Mark Cann, 6’5, F, 2020, Raytown South, KC Silver

A big bodied forward who plays strong and uses his size well in the paint and mid-range. He can jump well and brings strength and rebounding skills to the floor. Also a smart ball handler and shows guard instincts when brings the ball up the floor and looks to kick off the team’s offense.

4-Ahmed Mahgoub, 6’5, 2020, Oak Park, YOBO

Has great height and nice lift. He moves off the ball and has good hands, a strong frame and good footwork. He moves in and out of the lane well and
