Indiana Elite East 2020
Indiana Elite East is a packed roster with quite a few guys that are already drawing college coaches flocking. Between Gizzi, Welage, and O’Neill, you have a ton of guys that are going to be recruited pretty highly locally and possibly beyond. They have played a little up and down at times but when they are at their best, they can hang with a lot of teams.
Player Who Stood Out: Max Gizzi
Gizzi has been pretty good this Spring, rolling up a full year of solid play. He’s been more of a playmaker and not as locked in to being a high scoring threat which does suit him pretty well. Passing the ball well, mixing in good offense, and adding some defensive ability.
Player Who We Discovered: Dawson Eastes
Dawson was one we saw during the high school season and were intrigued but needed more time. Now, we feel pretty good about just how talented he is. Ceiling is there but he’s so productive and dynamic for his size and position that he should be pretty coveted this year.
Player Who Is Under-The-Radar: Keegan O’Neill
With size being very difficult to really find in this class, Keegan O’Neill being from the South also makes it a little more difficult but he should be looking at quite a bit more. Big, strong, and able to stretch and shoot the ball. Needs more mobility but he’s been pretty good regardless.
One More To Know: Andrew Welage
Probably the highest upside and most talented guy is Greensburg’s Andrew Welage. Picking up an offer from Vermont already this Spring, he’s on his way with the recruitment. Tall but more of a wing than his brother, he’s still only scratching the surface of his talent. Still needs to put everything on display at one time.
