And although this Summer is scheduled to be another hot one, this past Spring was no different with plenty of hot competition on the court. As the season changes, now is a great opportunity to take a look as some prospects that may not have gotten some of the hype as others, but are definitely deserving of getting some looks. Keep these names in mind as you make your tournament rounds this Summer.
Darius Mackey
6’0 Point Guard | Aldine Davis High School | Class of 2020 | Tx Takeover Elite – Ned (AAU)

Darius is a point guard’s point guard. He dictates the pace of the game effectively and gets his teammates in favorable positions. In addition, he is a hard-nosed, on-ball defender that causes havoc for opposing guards. He gets into the lane effectively and is a willing passer. Texas Takeover Elite is a Prep Hoops participating team.
Jalen White
6’5 Shooting Guard | Sam Rayburn High School | Class of 2020 | Houston Defenders (AAU)
“Get the shooter!” Opposing teams need to keep their eyes on Jalen because if he gets a shot up, he is probably going to make. A deadly deep range shooter, Jalen finds creative ways to get open and his size makes it easy for him to get off his shot, even in traffic. The Houston Defenders is a UAA Circuit participating team.
Chris Harris
6’0 Point guard | Hightower High School | Class of 2020 | Houston Raptors Benjamin (AAU)

Defend, rebound, score, and then do them again. The words that most closely describes Chris, who can do it all on the floor starting with his defense. He can score efficiently from beyond the arch and he is also a crafty dribbler who typically gets reactions from the audience when he dribbles in and out of traffic. The Houston Raptors Benjamin is a Prep Hoops participating team.
Elijah Thomas
6’3 Shooting Guard | Ridge Point High School | Class of 2020 | Texas Mel Elite (AAU)

Texas Mel Elite
Elijah is a swiss army knife on the court. Known for his ability to shoot, the other attributes that he possesses is often overlooked. He runs the floor effectively, gets to his spots easily, creates space with his size and can defend multiple positions. The fact that he can shoot just makes him even more attractive as a prospect. Texas Mel Elite is a Prep Hoops participating team.
Jayshaun Cannon
6’8 Forward | Aldine Davis High School | Class of 2020 | Tx Takeover Elite – Ned (AAU)

Jayshaun is going through a bit of a transition. His ability to stretch the floor has been a joy to watch and is an added bonus to his, already established, “back to the basket” game. He is extremely active on the boards and has great timing on defense which allows him to block shots. Even with transitioning into more of a “stretch” four role, Cannon is still effective and efficient as he expands his game. Texas Takeover Elite is a Prep Hoops participating team.
Aubrey Feaster

Aubrey is a natural point guard who plays several positions because of his size and his ability to defend a variety of players. He has excellent vision, passes the ball effectively and can score from all three levels. Moreover, he does not turn the ball over often and is almost unstoppable when he plays with aggression.
