Analysis:
- Oddly enough, there haven’t been many non-D1 offers to be reported for any Kentucky kids since the AAU season started. I would have expected to see more kids pick up D2 and NAIA offers in the past two months. Rashad Bishop Rashad Bishop 6'7" | PF Ballard | 2020 State KY is the only player I’ve seen to get a D2 offer and I haven’t seen any NAIA offers since AAU season kicked off.
- The 2021 class was thought to have a lot of upside early on but they have been underwhelming as a whole so far. The fact that they only have one player with a D1 offer right now isn’t very surprising because the NCAA jacked up the recruiting calendar and most coaches haven’t even looked at 2021 players yet.
- 2022 is loaded with high upside players but none of them have been seen yet thanks to the new recruiting calendar. I think the 2022 class can be a special one in Kentucky if they develop like I’m hoping.
- The class of 2020 has been called a bad class for a while but they have 10 players with D1 offers right now and only 9 players in 2019 committed to D1 schools on scholarships. It will be interesting to see how many 2020s ultimately end up signing with D1 schools in the fall and spring.
