Dayne Armwald – 2020 – SG – Wisconsin Dynasty
Armwald posted a double-double in a loss to the Illinois Irish on Sunday, totaling 16 points and 11 rebounds. A prospect that just battles, Armwald is one of the hidden gems in the Big Eight Conference who’s been playing varsity at Madison West for three seasons. Also a standout football player, Armwald is more athletic than he gets credit for. While he can score, registering a number of double-figure efforts in Fort Wayne, Armwald can do the dirty work as well.
Jeffery Brazziel – 2022 – F – Wisconsin Playground Club
He’s already a real problem for defenses, but if Brazziel ever gets a consistent jumper, he’ll be darn year impossible to stop. The 6-foot-4 forward makes getting to the rim look elementary despite being still physically raw. Brazziel is a long, smooth athlete that glides past defenders and can adjust in mid-air to finish in traffic. Our No. 3 ranked prospect in the 2022 class, Brazziel definitely has the potential to hold the top spot in three years. When it comes to his upside, few in his class have a chance to make the gains physically and skills-wise that he does. Battling foul trouble, Brazziel scored 15 of his 17 points in the second half in Sunday’s loss to the Wisconsin Swing .
Micah Causey – 2022 – PG – Wisconsin Playground Club
Causey helped keep his team in the game against Wisconsin Swing until his teammates started to join the movement. With 11 first half points and a couple of assists, Causey was controlling just about everything for PGC White for a while. A speedy, uptempo point guard, Causey can be electric with the ball in his hands. He’s only 5-foot-9, but has coast-to-coast ability and toughness to finsih at the rim in traffic. A sparkplug and momentum changer, Causey continues to look like a top 25 prospect in the 2022 class.
Alex Huibregtse – 2020 – G – Phenom University NY2LA
Huibregtse lit up Mac Irvin Fire during a Sunday morning win to help his team advance to the semifinals. Facing some high-level athletes, Huibregtse continues to push for Division 2 scholarships. The Grafton standout was able to create space off the bounce and knock down shots with a hand in his face. A prospect that’s done nothing but trend upwards since the start of his junior season, Huibregtse may not have ideal measurables at the two-guard spot, but without a doubt gets the most out of his talent and has shown the ability to hang with some of the best prospects in the Midwest over the last year.
James Jacobs – 2022 – SG – Wisconsin Swing
Jacobs essentially made the game-winning play in a win over Wisconsin Playground Club. Coming up with a late steal, Jacobs was fouled with .7 seconds left on a fast break layup. Unfortunately, due to injury, he wasn’t able to make the game-winning free throws. Prior to his heroics, Jacobs showed some high-upside as a scoring threat. A 6-foot-2 guard, Jacobs has intriguing length and ball-handling ability, able to shake defenders and create space off the bounce. The Stevens Point native was in double figures and got stronger as the game wore on to help stave off the comeback effort.
Max Weisbrod – 2022 – G – Wisconsin Swing
We saw Weisbrod during the high school season at DeForest, but held off ranking him until seeing him in some high-level action on the circuit. The freshman guard definitely exceeded expectations during a win over Wisconsin Playground Club. Scoring a game-high 18 points, Weisbrod wouldn’t let his team die. He’s not overly athletic or explosive, but just finds ways to get the ball in the basket. Weisbrod was connecting on some difficult, off-balance looks throughout and also acted as the team’s primary facilitator, getting his teammates the basketball in high percentage areas.
