Gary Clark 6’7″ Team Ramey CCM: The athletic power forward from Cardinal Ritter continued his excellent play during the spring by helping lead Team Ramey to the 17U championship. He is long and springy and has a very nice shooting touch around the basket. He can score in the post and can rebound at both ends. He has stretched out his shooting range to 15 to 17 feet where he is very effective. He runs the court hard and plays with excellent effort. He is now on the radar of Division I schools.
Lamontay Daugherty 6’7″ Team Ramey CCM: The versatile combo forward from Mehlville came up big in the championship game as he scored a game-high 21 points in his team’s victory over Gateway. His versatile skill set makes him one of the most difficult players in the state to match up with. He has a big body that can operate in the post, but he loves the perimeter game, where he can shoot the 3-pointer and beat defenders off the dribble. He also loves the rim runs and he had several transition buckets during the weekend.
Dalton Gayman 6’6″ KC Pacers Blue: A tough, physical lefty from Nevada who enjoys the bumper cars style of play. He is potent in the low post where he can score around the basket with a variety of moves, plus he gets his share of offensive rebounders. He can also operate on the perimeter where he has a strong drive game plus he is a very good passer who does a nice job hitting open cutters.
Brandon Ellington 6’6″ Team Ramey CCM: A blue collar athlete from Cardinal Ritter who loves to rebound, block shots and dunk the ball. The long lefty is an impressive rebounder because he will get out of his area and grab boards that he has no business getting, but he gets the job done with his effort.
Mack Anderson 6’5″ Dominators: A small school Class 1 standout from SW Livingston who displayed the ability to score and be very productive against excellent competition from around the country. He’s a big, strong kid who get buckets in the low post, via the post up or on aggressive drives to the basket. He averaged nearly 20 points a game during the weekend. He can run the court and can also dunk in traffic in the half court.
Tristan Turner 6’4″ KC Pacers Blue: A versatile combo forward from Fort Osage who performs many duties to help a team be successful. He is a solid ball handler who can also facilitate and make decisions. He rebounds well and can guard multiple positions on the defensive end. He is a very unselfish player that every team would be better if they had a player like him.
Elijah Bishop 6’6″ Team Ramey CCM: A beefy post player from Soldan who helped his team win the 17U championship. He is one of the best low-post operators in the tournament. He uses that body to establish excellent position has has good fundamentals and footwork. He catches the ball well and he can go in either direction for jump hooks and turnaround jumpers. He can also step and a hit a 3-pointer off the catch when left open.
J.J. Schwepker 6’5″ Gateway: An impressive 3-point shooter from Fort Zumwalt South who is the ideal “Stretch 4” with his ability to move and knock down 3-pointers off the catch. He has also worked hard to improve his ability to make shots off the dribble and rebound.
Brodie Pollock 6’5″ Missouri Showtime: A hard working forward from Bolivar who was very good around the basket. He was very active around the basket, where he got buckets off some hard cuts to the basket. He made a lot of plays with his effort.
Cooper Deneke 6’5″ Missouri Elite: The power forward from Rock Bridge had a productive weekend as he scored around the basket with good fundamental post move. He was very good at sealing his man and creating good space in the low blocks. He also slammed home some impressive dunks in the lane off of dribble penetration.
