Trey Pettigrew (Illinois Wolves 15U)
Pettigrew is a scoring point guard from Fenwick. He struggled a bit finishing at the rim, but you can tell the natural scoring talent is there with his ball handling and explosion with the rock in his hands.
Matthew Volkening (Illinois Wolves 15U)
Volkening broke out with his perimeter shooting. We were impressed with his size for position along with how well he shot it from beyond the arc. The Marengo wing is a plus shooter off the catch with a clean looking stroke. Has some projectability.
Sincere Malone (Mac Irvin Fire 16U)
We got a limited glimpse at this Simeon 2022 forward playing for the Mac Irvin Fire. At about 6’6” he is an intriguing combo forward with his athleticism and energy level. He had a slick drive along with a mid-range jumper.
Anes Davenport (Mac Irvin Fire 16U)
Morgan Park seems to have active and bouncy power forwards every season. Davenport could be the next in line. The 2021 four man has broad shoulders with good strength. He mauled on the offensive glass for second chance points and cleared them on the defensive end. Shot blocking presence as well.
Jayson Kent (Mac Irvin Fire 17U)
Kent was definitely one of the biggest breakout players of the weekend. The Oak Forest 2020 shooting guard is a long and rangy wing that is a plus shooter. Free and fluid release from three which he knocked down at a high clip throughout the weekend. Will make a nice debut in the June 2020 rankings update.
Mason Muller (Illinois Irish 17U)
Legit size at 6’8” out of this Porta post. He is a solid defender, runs the floor, and flashed the ability to play above the rim. Continues to get better!
Kanye Smith (Meanstreets 15U)
Smith is an upside small forward with size, length, and athleticism. What he does best right now is rebounding outstanding for a wing. Crashes the glass on both ends and snatches them out of the air. Offensively he makes plays in transition and flashes skill with a mid-range jumper every now and them. Pure upside!
Dalen Davis (Meanstreets 15U)
Davis is a 2023 prospect that will attend Whitney Young next season. He ran the show for Meanstreets 15U group throughout the weekend. Smaller guard that can shoot it from three, plays with a high basketball IQ, and wasn’t afraid of the big moments against older players.
Marieon Anderson (Quad City Elite 15U)
Anderson is a 6’3” two guard that who flashed some natural scoring potential. Decent athlete that can put it on the deck and is a capable three point shooter if left open.
Amarion Nimmers (Quad City Elite 15U)
Nimmers is a point guard with a plus looking jump shot from three. The 5’11” point guard could be the next in line to run the show at Rock Island.
EJ Alexis (Wolverines 17U)
Alexis put his name on our radar on Sunday with his toughness and defense. The 6’4” power forward is definitely undersized, but he proved to be an excellent defender, shot blocker, and rebounder while getting the most out of his ability!
