Omar Zeigler is quickly becoming a highly coveted prospect from the state of Michigan. He’s earned a Division 1 offer and has the looks of a true future D1 player. Zeigler is coming off a solid sophomore high school season and he has carried that momentum through the spring grassroots season. He’s been an impact player for the highly regarded Michigan Playmakers. Coaches will really want to track Zeigler’s development from this point forward.

STRENGTHS OF HIS GAME
The ability to cover smaller guards – This allows versatility on the peremiter on the defensive end.
Finishing at the rim – He has excellent body control and good upper body strength that allows him to finish through contact.
Rim protector – He has good height and gets off the ground quick, allowing him to defend the rim.
Finds teammates – He’s a good passer who can draw the defense and dish in traffic.
Gets past defenders – Uses handles and finds lanes to the bucket.
AREAS TO IMPROVE
3 point shooting – Among other things, this would draw the defense out on him making it easier to beat them off the dribble.
Free throw shooting – With his ability to attack the basket, there would be a lot of free points available.
