Proviso East 2020 point guard Michael Osborne is a major sleeper lead guard in the junior class. Tough kid that brings a good basketball IQ to the table along with intensity on the defensive end of the floor.

Osborne chatted about his junior campaign at Proviso East.

“This year I think we went pretty well going 25-8. I had to sit out most of the second half of the season due to an injury, but I feel we did pretty well. We had senior guards. There were some things I could have cleaned up on. I need to be more consistent as there were some games where I wasn’t consistent I wasn’t being effective.”

Where did he improve the most as a player?

“Being a leader. Freshman and sophomore seasons I wasn’t as much of a leader as I am now. Getting to the rim and getting my teammates involved. Getting my teammates open.”

Osborne talked about what he can bring to a team at the next level.

“My energy. I am an energy booster guy that plays hard every play. I don’t sit down on plays. I give it all on defense, score, and get my teammates involved.”

A few Midwest schools have been in contact with him.

“I got a couple looks from colleges from Lake Land and St. Mary’s in Minnesota. I look to plan a visit to Lake Land in the summer time.”

Osborne is running with ET21 Buckeyes 17U on the PrepHoops Circuit.
