Recruiting Report: Liam Lloyd (2020)
Liam Lloyd, a class of 2020 guard from Gonzaga Prep (WA), was a standout performer for Washington Supreme during Under Armour’s third session in New Jersey earlier this month. On the opening night against District WAWG, Lloyd went off for 24 points, 9 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 assists. He shot nearly 40% from three on the UAA this spring.
“I can score the ball, but I’m a good team player. I do whatever I have to do to win,” he said of his overall game.
Listed at 6-foot-5 and 175 pounds, Loyd is a skilled, well-rounded player who understands the game and how to contribute in a myriad of ways. Over his past two high school seasons, he has won over 50 games and is a two-time defending state champion. That is something Lloyd believes will translate to the next level.
“I can flat out win. I can help a program win,” he stated.

Lloyd grew up in a basketball family. He recalled playing since he was a baby, and growing up in the gym. His father, Tommy Lloyd, is an Assistant Coach at Gonzaga. Despite assumptions that he will end up going to play for his dad, Lloyd wants to blaze his own trail. With three current offers from Air Force, Eastern Washington and Toledo, and interest from over a dozen other division one programs, he will have no shortage of options.
“My goal is to play on a winning team in college basketball,” said Lloyd. “I want to make it in the NCAA tournament. After college I want to play overseas or wherever professional basketball takes me.”
