Dynamic athlete that can score it from all three levels. Jump shot has become a consistent go to weapon. Athleticism shines through on both ends of the floor.
Williams was a major reason for Bloom’s success this past season including winning the AC Williamson award at the Pontiac Holiday Tournament.
“We had a good year and then we lost to Curie at Pontiac, but overall we had a good season. We lost to Homewood Flossmoor in the sectional so it didn’t end how we wanted it to. Winning that AC Williamson award was a big honor for me. Overall I would say I did pretty good. I got hurt and missed part of the season, but I came back strong.”
He is running with Young & Reckless on the travel team circuit this spring that is also playing under the Kevon Looney banner on the Adidas Gauntlet.
“The spring is going good. We were a little shaky in the first Adidas session going 0-4, but the last session we came back and went 2-2.”
What is the latest with recruiting?
“Right now I am getting looks from West Virginia, Northwestern, Providence that are new.”
The Bloom standout has a handful of offers already!
“I have offers from Colorado, Colorado State, St. Louis, Milwaukee, Hampton, UIC, Southern Illinois.”
He has taken several visits including one official visit.
“I took one official to Colorado. Unofficials to Colorado State and St. Louis.”
What stands out about Colorado?
“It was good visit. They have a nice staff and campus.”
Williams currently sets at #9 overall and the #2 shooting guard in the PHI 2020 Rankings.
