Quick second jump on the offensive glass high pointing rebounds in traffic. Elevating his game at the right time heading into his senior season.
How was his junior campaign at Bolingbrook?
“It was amazing. I broke out. I really enjoyed it and playing with Coach Brost.”
He shared the spotlight last year with a pair of D1 guards. Next year it will be his team. How is he preparing for that?
“Getting better every day. I am talking to Josepth (Yesufu) and Tyler (Cochran) about what they did for tips. I am listening to the people who did it before me.”
Burford updated us on his recruitment.
“I just got a Cleveland State offer. Florida Atlantic, Miami (OH), North Dakota State, and South Dakota State are showing interest.”
Cleveland State is the most recent school to jump in the mix.
“The way they talked to me saying they want to bring me into the family. They love my game. That is something I enjoy. Like at Bolingbrook we are a family. He was saying the same things I was already getting taught.”
He also holds offers from Chicago State and Drake. What stands out about Drake?
“That was my first offer. I am supposed to go on a visit there. They welcomed me.”
Chicago State is pursuing him as well.
“I like how close it is. The coach texts me every day. I like the coaching staff.”
What will the school that lands him be getting?
“I am an all-around point guard that can pass and shoot. I am athletic. I can fit into any system. I can play fast and I can play ball screens.”
