The 6’6″, 175-pounder averaged 15.6 PPG and 9.5 RPG for Avon Park (13-11) this past season as a sophomore. The 2021 forward is thriving right now for East Coast United this summer for AAU ball.
Lovette recorded 11 double doubles as a sophomore including a ridiculous stat line of 32 points and 20 rebounds in a victory over Mulberry. He summed up his sophomore season as great.
“I learned a lot from all my coaches. They helped me grow on and off the court,” Lovette told Prep Hoops. “I think the most growth that I had was being able to rebound and push the ball up the floor.”
No offers or interest have come yet for the rising junior, but Lovette is continuing to get better with a big role on ECU United.
“I have Been with East Coast United for 5 months. ECU helped me improve my game tremendously,” he said. “They have got me invites to camps, they have let me be a part of their family. My coach (Lewis Wright) has been there for me every step of the way helping me get better and showing me how to get to the next level in my career.”
Lovette pointed to his ability to play all five positions as something that separates himself from others.
“Being able to rebound, shoot, block shots, defend, pass, create for others and lead by example for my teammates,” he said. “I would like to improve on my dribbling and controlling the paste of the game.”
Lovette is a lengthy athlete with a ton of upside. He has really good instincts and gets to reliable areas on the floor, especially his mid-range looks. Look for this next live period to be key for Lovette’s college interest. Team camps this upcoming month and individual camps in September will be super important as well. I expect Lovette to make some noise.
