The Springfield Southeast product is a smooth shooting guard with a feathery jumper out to three. Smooth and easy release. Wins off the dribble with his long strides getting to the rim. Defensively he has a chance to be really good if he wants to lock in and be a force on that end.
How was his sophomore season at Springfield Southeast?
“It was pretty good. The seniors led me the right way. For me coming in next year I know what they did for me I have to do for others. I know I was playing a role with such good guys around me like Terrion and Michael. I was just learning from them and picking up on what they are doing.”
Dent spoke to the strengths of his game as a player now and moving forward.
“I feel like now I can get to the basket and have a good mid-range shot. My three is always open.”
He is running with Capital City Teamwork on the PrepHoops Circuit this spring.
“It is going very great. It is guys from across the city of Springfield and I have known them since fifth grade so it is great playing with them.”
Dent played with All-In in Minnesota at Battle at the Lakes and went 7/7 from three in one game!
Not much interest on the recruiting trail as of yet, but expect that to change as this sophomore is expected to make a major debut in the next 2021 rankings update in June.
