Farrar was named the MVP of the Josh Level Classic on May 18, 2019, a showcase for some of the top prospects in the HoopState. He’s an emerging forward prospect that is a matchup nightmare given his size and strength.
He’s got the ability to score on all three levels and the more I see him play, the more I believe his stock will continue to rise. I was able to catch up with him at BigShots Carolina Memorial Classic.
Q: What’s been your biggest focus throughout the recruiting process?
Nick Farrar: Just getting stronger, getting physically more in-shape. I’m improving things that I do as well, things like defense, pull-up jumpers, getting to the hole. Just the little things that need to be improved over time that will allow me to make it at the next level.
Q: Is there a dream scenario for how this ends for you?
NF: It’s wherever I fit and can make the most impact at. It doesn’t matter what school it is as long as it’s a good fit and I have a good relationship with the coaches.
Q: Which schools have been pursuing you the most?
NF: Rhode Island and Robert Morris have been on me heavily. They’ve been a couple of the schools that have been in constant contact with me on a daily basis.
Q: What are your some of your goals for the summer?
NF: Working on being more physically in shape and work on my midrange game so that it adds another dimension to my game.
Farrar was a terror all over the floor for Big Shots Elite North Carolina 2020 this past weekend. He averaged 25.0 points per game and was second in scoring in the 17U division with 75 total points. He’s already got offers from Rhode Island, Robert Morris, and Houston to name a few. Look for him to rack up more offers as the summer moves along.
