A 6’2 combo guard, Brown is running for the second straight summer with NLHA’s 17U squad as he played up with the likes of Maize 2019 standout Caleb Grill and others last summer.
Brown is capable of both running the point and play off the ball where he can take advantage of his outside shooting.
“I also think of myself as a pure shooter, whether it’s off the dribble or a set shot,” Brown says. “Whatever I can do to help the team positively, I do.”
Brown says he has been focused on improving at the defensive end of the court and says the experience of running with the NLHA team has helped prepare him for the future.

Brown has moved from Caney Valley last summer to Ogallala, Neb. and helped the team go 29-1 and place third in state last season.
Brown says his parents have had the biggest infuence on his basketball career to date.
“My stepdad has been my head basketball coach for the last two years, and coached me even before that,” Brown says. “My mom is the biggest supporter I have. I couldn’t do what I do without them.”
A fan of NBA guard JJ Redick, Brown says he watches the former Duke standout’s footwork and hopes to implement elements of his game into his own.
“I think I have improved a lot on being able to knock down shots while on the move,” Brown said.
Although he does not yet hold any offers, Brown says he has heard from several schools, including School Of Mines, a Division II school in Rapid City, South Dakota.
