Dade was a key player on the court for the Spartans, who made it to the elite 8 of the 3A state tournament this season. He also takes care of business in the classroom, where he holds a 4.2 GPA. Dade discussed his overall game and goals among other topics during a recent interview with Prep Hoops.
PH: For those who haven’t seen you play, how would you describe your game?
AD: “Very hard-nosed basketball. I play with heart. That’s what most kids don’t have.”
PH: What is the most improved part of your game since the start of high school season?
AD: “I think my potential as a point guard. Being more vocal, scoring more, and helping my team more.”
PH: What do you need to work on?
AD: “Defense. Sliding my feet more.”
PH: Who do you model your game after?
AD: “I like Russell Westbrook because he plays with heart. He has a passion for the game. I like the way he plays.”
PH: You had a few nice finishes with your off hand. Is that something you can do consistently?
AD: “Yes. I think so, but I still have to keep working.”
PH: What are your goals?
AD: “My goals are to make it to a D1 college, get an education, and hopefully go to the league.”
PH: What can you bring to a college program down the road?
AD: “I can bring leadership, and I can be a good brother.”
