Pearson definitely looked like the leader of this 15 and under team has he took control of the offense and was one of the main vocal leaders.
He is really happy that this spring and summer is off to a better start, unlike last year.
“The Spring is going really well, it has been a lot better than last year but most importantly the team is doing well.”
During this game he excelled in hitting runners off the window, got to the free throw line when he drove and finished above the rim in transition. Defensively, he showed that he has quick footwork which allowed him to stay with his man and also showed some potential in rising up to block shots.
He talked about that explosiveness with us.
“I am somebody that is always going to try and rise up and go for dunks. I like to play aggressive where I can maybe get fouled and head to the free throw line.”
He showed maturity when his team was tight and rallied his guys to eventually win the game on the opening night of the weekend.
“I started off with a nice spark, scored 8 early points, once we got a lead we kind of slowed down and played a slower pace which did not really work out but I had to pick my teammates up which then led us to opening the lead back up.”
Pearson will definitely be a name to monitor as he will be entering his first year of high school this upcoming fall at Fayetteville Academy.
