Daylon Andrews– 5’9- BTR16U- PC West HS
A kid who did it all, at the Oklahoma State Tournament. Not afraid of the moment, he went up against some of the best players in the state of Oklahoma. Andrews showcased skills that started at the point guard position and transitioned to posting up players on the block. He pushed the ball in transition and had a few no-look flashy passes that hit right on the money. What impressed me the most, was his defensive intensity. Post defense was strong and Andrews held his own while forcing turnovers. He can hit the mid-range and deep ball, which makes him really hard to guard. From rebounding, to guarding every position on the court, making great passes, and scoring at a high level, he is definitely an all around player.
Danquez Dawsey-6’0- BTR16U- Lawton Mac
Keeping it within BTR 16U, Dawsey is another player who will get it done. Not just specializing on one attribute. Dawsey makes plays all over the court on both sides of the ball. I love the way he attacks the rim and finishes with contact. He will make plays for his teammates and can make plays for himself. Shooting the ball is also in his arsenal and athletic enough to hit jump shots over defenders. Plays with a motor, dives for every lose ball, boxes out, and rebounds with two hands. A 15 year old who communicates on defense, was great to see, a big baller in Dawsey.
Dalton Gayman-6’4- KC Pacers Blue 17U- Nevada HS
At 6’4 Gayman is a very strong athlete . He did it all in the gamse I had a chance to watch. Leading the team in rebounds. He made his team better by doing all the dirty work. That’s not all he did though, he mixed it up and scored the ball really well. Great passer, as he found the open guys, when doubled on the block. Rim protector, he has the capability to be a shot blocker, along with defending smaller guards. Willing to give up his body for the sake of the team, he’s a big reason they win games. Great touch around the rim, he knows how to work on the block, along with his great foot work. Gayman had a good showing this weekend, he plays a big role on a very talented KC Pacers Blue team.
Traejon Davis-6’6- Team Buddy Buckets 17U- HFC Homeschool
This young man does it all. What’s really scary is, Davis is getting better and better every game. Davis is coming on the scene at a fast pace and college coaches are starting to warm up to his name. He has great size and is starting to learn how to use it to his advantage. Pick and pop player, he is capable of knocking shots down consistently. Great hands after the roll, he’s able to catch and finish above the rim. A rebounding machine, look for him to outlet the ball, while rim running, looking to score. Another young man that will give up his body for his team. I’ve seen him take charges, get hammered attacking the rim and he always gets back up, ready to do it again. If he continues this quality of play, he will gain even more offers than what he has now.
