Pt. I | Pt. II | Pt. III | Pt. IV
Ethan Scott 2022 Team Buddy Buckets 16U/Westmoore point guard (pictured above)
- Volume shooter
- Contested finisher
- Automatic
One twitter frequenter mentioned casually that Ethan Scott is the best shooter in Oklahoma. I would have thought it farfetched to name a point guard with only a season of varsity basketball under his belt the best at anything, let-alone shooting, headed into the summer. Ethan Scott, however, who already holds the Westmoore High School record for 3-pointers in a season, may just be among the best shooters in the state, and he seized the opportunity to advocate for that title over the weekend. Against some of the best talent in the state, Scott was consistently appeared to be the best shooting talent on the floor.
Conner Davis 2020 Oklahoma Run PWP Red 17U/Oologah guard
- Sharpshooter
- Volume shooter
The quickest way to get noticed is to hit five 3-pointers in a center-stage quarterfinal game, so Conner Davis took the spotlight with that one. The leading scorer in PWP’s final game of the weekend, Davis was en fuego from long-range in a matchup with one of the best defensive backcourts in the tournament.
Sean Pedulla 2021 Team Buddy Buckets 16U/Edmond Memorial point guard
- Streaky
- Quick release
Even paired with one of the best young shooters in the state in Ethan Scott, Edmond Memorial standout Sean Pedulla continually finds ways to shine in the shooting game, complimented by the spacing provided by Scott. Pedulla is a knock-down guy from deep range, and his quick release point makes him especially difficult to guard on the catch. Pedulla’s quickness and ball-handling abilities, also, leaves the threat for the drive, furthering his ability to get space to take his shots. Though I’ve mentioned Pedulla nearly every weekend this summer, I have a hard time resisting redundancy as he continues to shine in the shooting game.
