Long Beach, Ca. — Some of the area’s top basketball prospects made their way to Assumption Greek Orthodox Church last Saturday to compete in a class-by-class showcase-style event.

The games were broken up in a Top 40 and Top 20 format with some Top 40’s playing their way into the Top 20 game of their respective classes.

Here are some standouts from the Top 40 class of 2021 game.

Elijah Evans, Dominguez

Evans might have been the guy who helped his stock the most at the event. The 6-foot-4 wing came in relatively unknown and left with his name planted firmly on the radar. Evans is a rangy wing with ball skills, quickness, jump shooting ability, and, most importantly, he plays with a lot of confidence and a big chip on his shoulder.

Elijah Evans put his name firmly on the radar in 2021 after a strong performance at the Pangos Best of SoCal Showcase.

Lendl Henderson, Jr., Bakersfield Christian

Henderson was along the same lines as Evans as he came in as a lesser-known name, but left a huge impression
