For these classes, they are making the transition from being role players on their teams, to upperclassmen that will be looked upon to produce at a higher level.
NC Blue Devils 2021 Guard Jaquay McMillian: Had a nice day for his squad, his team needed him to score the ball at a nice rate for them to be competitive and he did just that. Getting inside the paint to make plays as well as causing turnovers and changing those turnovers into quick buckets for his teammates.
Robeson United 2022 Cameron Swear: A double/double type of player, he makes an impact on the court with his scoring and rebounding. One of the attributes that we liked the most about him was his efficiency, he doesn’t try to do more than he’s capable or comfortable with.
Robeson United 2021 Guard Charlie Miller: We got the opportunity to see him play over the summer with Lumberton during team camp where he showed some flashes of his talent. During this NTBA event we saw some of those flashes once again as he knocked down shots from deep and was solid throughout the day, should definitely get some nice minutes for Lumberton this upcoming year.
Robeson United 2021 Guard Hayden Hickman: Another player who was impressive with his rebounding from the guard spot, he’s not afraid of physicality and has a pretty solid frame already. We didn’t see him take too many possessions off and was pretty unselfish with his play overall, solid showing from Hayden.
26 Blackout 2022 Guard Malachi Travis: He had an off shooting day but we loved the mentality that he kept even when his shot wasn’t necessarily falling for him. He kept shooting, and stay engaged and happy for teammates that made plays, he has good form on his shot and will be one that could possibly see his way into playing a higher amount of minutes next season.
NC Rebels 2022 F/C Demetri Patterson: The potential that he has to be good is clear, he has the size at 6’6 with good hands and a soft touch that stretches out to the three point line. He is still finding his way in some aspects of the game but overall, we liked what we saw from him and the potential he has.
