Zion Dettman of Inspired Athletics. Zion Dettman has been one of the better shooters recording numbers at Prep Hoops Circuit events this spring. He made 43 percent of his treys this winter, has had games of 4 or more threes against top teams and struggling squads on the circuit, and overall he’s been a pleasant spring surprise.
Pouch Dobuol of Inspired Athletics. Pouch is from Minnesota and it sounds like he will be playing for St. Cloud Tech maybe next year. Not from North Dakota but playing on a North Dakota team, Pouch has used his length and physical gifts to defensively contain scholarship level bigs in Minnesota (guys with D1 and D2 offers) to minimal numbers. Did not play high school hoops last year but if he gets things on track he could have a fantastic senior season.
Grayson Haman of ECI Prospects. Haman was an all 16 PHD first teamer last year as an explosive 6-foot-2 wing. The potential is there and after a six point per game winter we are seeing a lot of growth from Haman. Shooting in that 37-39 percent at the arc, rebounding solid as a guard, passing well, and going at the rim for numbers as well. Excellent spring so far.
Tyler Loe of North Dakota Attack Green. Tyler is a six foot guard from Dakota Prairie who might just be the biggest stock raiser of the spring so far. Loe’s basket attack starts with a quick first step that often has defenses off guard. He’s an all region player that has taken an excellent winter and taken another big step this spring. When Loe, Carson Henningsgard, and Landen Reed are all present and on their game Attack Green is a tough out.
Devan Michaels of North Dakota Attack Black. Devan is a three sport athlete that excels whatever the season. All state football player, all region basketball player, and a standout baseball player. And when he’s not knocking in RBIs the 6-foot-2 wing has been scoring for the Attack Black squad. Michaels and Rugby High School teammate Isaiah Bundy-Smith were key pieces in the winter and are a strong pair for the Attack.
Grant Nelson of ECI Prospects. The biggest North Dakota stock raiser of the 2020 class over the winter? The 6-foot-9 Nelson. Grant was a big number double-double guy with 16.5 points and 12 boards a game on average plus he blocked about five shots a game. Any let down this spring yet? ECI is a hearty and healthy 15-4 heading into the ECI Spring Preview and Nelson has been a massive part of it, so I would say a strong NO. So those looking for size in the Midwest should find an ECI schedule soon.
Justice Noel of ECI Select. Efficiency, that’s the main theme of the Justice Noel basketball performance game by game. Turnovers are rare, shot selection is outstanding, and at 6-foot-4 Noel busts tail to board his position. With Noel percentages will always be good and he’s a player you can insert in the line-up and trust for strong minutes.
Jaxon Wiseman of North Dakota Attack Blue. Wiseman is pound for pound one of the more aggressive and active players game to game. He stands 5-foot-10 and is on the attack constantly. Wiseman makes a nice pair with Jaxton Wiest in the backcourt leading the Blue team to the best record of the Attack teams. Chance Danner has played well up front as well.
