Prospects:
• Trey Townsend (6’6” / 2020 / UTS Elite): Played out of position but great rebounder & a natural scorer. Townsend showed the ability to do work inside for his team. Going up against some bigger players, the junior did more then hold his own.
• Jordan Jackson (6’4” / W 2020 / UTS Elite): Jackson does a lot of slashing, and work without the ball. But, Jackson is also a threat in transition, where he can finish strong. Aggressive player that loves to compete!
• Justin Lovette (CG / 2021 / 1 Vision Academy / LaSalle HS): Justin is a very athletic player with a high motor and an even higher basketball IQ. His quickness in transition let’s him get to the rim with ease, his quick first step off the dribble allows him to beat players off the dribble. Justin can hit the 3PT shot at a consistent rate and play above the rim when attacking downhill. He knows when to make the right play and has way to make his teammates better by making sure they are in the right place to be successful. A tough player on both ends, just as aggressive on defense. Justin has the ability to rack up the steals as well as blocks.
And more:
• Brandon Noel (6’7” / F 2020 / Mid Ohio Pumas / Chillicothe): A player that I will absolutely have to see in the winter again. Noel really impressed me with how hard he works. At 6-foot-7, the big man has some upside to his game. Has the ability to run the offense, and operates the offense better then most his size. A soft touch with the basketball, Noel is a willing scorer. Holding a couple D2 offers already, no doubt that number is going to grow.
• Conner Maciag (6’2” / G 2020 / Apex Gold / Pickerington Central): A player that could definitely break out even more in the winter, with Pick Central losing quite a bit to graduation. Maciag is a guard that puts his head down and works. Thrives off-ball, constantly moving, filling lanes, and working off of screens. Solid shooter, the soon to be senior can also get to the cup. I think the more Conner plays on-ball, the father his game is going to go. Each time I have watched Maciag this spring, he has showed more and more defensive abilities.
