This weekend I attended the Compton Magic Memorial Festival at Orange Lutheran HS in CA. Some top independent and Adidas teams from the West Coast showed up and showed out. 


Here are more of the rising senior standouts:

Jhaylon Martinez C 6’10 260 Coronado HS (NV) (Uneek Ballerz 17)

-True 5-man who is skilled. He can handle it some and make shots from inside and out. Likes facing up from mid to about 20-feet. Smartly passes out of double teams and can put the ball on the deck and power up and score it through contact. Decent mobility out on the perimeter to defend despite him being heavier. He outlets extremely well to his guards after he corrals the rebound with two hands. He has big strong hands and can make hook shots. Good upside.

Beon Riley SF 6’4 230 Cathedral HS (Dream Vision 17)

-One of the strongest players at the event and a tough defender. He also is one of the best passing wings I viewed. He can get downhill using is obvious strength and handle and hit occasional perimeter shots. He needs more reps with his shooting but he plays hard, smart and he’s
