Here, Prep Hoops takes a look at some of the events top shooters in the 16U division.
15-Luke Adams, 6’0, 2021, Blue Valley North, MOKAN 2021
Adams has excellent handles and he uses them with purpose and consistency. He can create his own shot and is god at creating wide open looks for others as well. He has the speed needed to play up-and-down ball and can light things up from behind the line.
23-Josh Broxterman, 6’2, 2021, Jeff West, Kansas Hoggs 16U
Kid is a scorer. He does it from distance and does it far away. He has a great shot from the corner 3 spot and can score with a player all over him. He’s also active on the boards and moves well vertically as he secures rebounds and looks to clean up the play and grab an extra two points.
5-Ben Fritz – Blue Valley NW, Marcus Denmon 2021
A lanky player who runs hard and defends multiple positions. He can shoot quickly and picks his spots offensively. He has good length for his size and is good at jumping passing lanes and spotting defensive schemes. Fritz is also a productive passer and a solid shooter as well.
2-Payton Hanzlik, 6’4, 2021, Leavenworth, KC Premiere Blue Chips
Hanzlik plays loose and on the box. He rebounds well and boxes out and makes contact when he goes up. He runs to the corner on fast breaks and sets himself up for a 3-pointer. He has great height and he shoots a clean shot with a soft touch.
