April and May is always a whirlwind of offseason hoops, nearly every weekend you’ll see Prep Hoops writers out and about at any number of tourneys. Our Iowa writers were no exception. Now, we transition into June, which is when the grassroots teams take a month-long break, and the high school team camps take the forefront. In July, the club teams will re-convene for one final whirlwind month of hoops. Below we’ll take a look at some of the best dunkers we've seen this spring. 


 

Trevion LaBeaux, 6'2 G (All Iowa Attack 16u)

Just a rising sophomore, LaBeaux is already among the most dynamic athletes in Iowa. Anytime there's even a chance of a fast-break materializing for Attack's 16u squad, you just hope that LaBeaux is out ahead of it. Waterloo East will be must-watch hoops for the next three years. 

 

 

Manny Austin, 6'2 G (Kingdom Hoops Navy 16u)

The Hoover guard has grown up and out and his added muscle has translated directly to some explosive athleticism. His vertical is among the best in Iowa, and
