He made a statement with his play this spring on the PrepHoops Circuit. Slick lead guard that can shoot it well from three. Works well in the pick and roll. Got to the rack with ease where he made acrobatic layups and floaters.
Horton spoke about his sophomore season with Kenwood.
“It went pretty good. We had some ups and downs. Overall it was a growing experience. I feel I could have played better, but for my level on the sophomore team I did good and when I got up on varsity I was solid.”
What was it like to learn from a vet and still be the man at the sophomore level?
“Playing on the sophomore team was good and learning from Artese on varsity was a learning experience. I was able to see the game a step ahead on the sophomore level learning from him and being a step ahead of everyone.”
He broke down his game for those who haven’t seen him.
“I work well off the pick and roll. I like to shoot the three and get to the basket. I like to get in the lane and kick to my guys getting them going.”
How is it going with RWA so far?
“The RWA group is doing great right now. We are playing as a team and everybody is getting going.”
