Carter Van Hammond 6’10 2021 F Perry/PHH UAA
Carter Van Hammond had himself a weekend jam packed with blocks! He consistently turned away shots left and right. He does a really good job of staying on his feet, especially on closeouts, and staying with his defender and meeting them at the rim.
DaRon Holmes 6’10 2021 F Millennium/PHH UAA
Holmes recovery time is absolutely disgusting. There were a couple missed defensive assignments from his teammates and Holmes would soar across the court and block the shot. He is an elite level athlete and is going to be very special. It is not everyday that a big moves as well as he does.
Boubacar Coulibaly 6’10 2020 F San Gabriel/Dream Vision Next
Boubacar is another big who moves insanely well. He is so fast and agile! He would come out of nowhere and send shots into the stands or onto the other courts. He has really good recovery/foot speed and is a great jumper as well, making for the perfect combination for an elite shot blocker.
Makur Maker 7’0 2020 F Orange Lutheran/Dream Vision 17U
Makur Maker looked like a man among-st boys this weekend. He stands out so much due to his size but also stood out due to his defensive prowess. He would often stand under the basket and turn away shots without even jumping. It looked like an older sibling playing with their younger sibling on a nerf hoop!
