Some top end teams joined the circuit this week leading to top players.
Here are some more of the top rising juniors at the event:
Andre Sheehan PG 5’10 Agua Fria HS (AZ Venom Red 16)
-Good ball handler can get downhill and makes good passes in traffic. He has a great feel for the game and can finish with either hand. Capable 3pt shooter and has a nice floater/runner game. Tough player just knows how to play the game. (Pictured on cover)
Josh Fletcher SF 6’2 Agua Fria HS (AZ Venom Red 16)
Catch and shoot 3pt shooter who can rip through and finish with either hand through contact. Good frame and rebounds and passes well. The glue guy for the team does everything for them to get the job done.
Shay Cain SF 6’4 Agua Fria HS (AZ Venom Black 16)
-A walking triple double with points rebounds and blocks. Downhill play-maker can score it many ways in the paint. Has a nice layup package and is incredible defensively. Has elite length, instincts and timing. His best skill is his passing. One of the best passers at the event. Makes the Lonzo Ball full court pass on the norm. Once he develops a consistent deep shot, he will be even harder to handle.
Peyton Watson SF 6’4 Dorsey HS (The Truth 16U EYBL)
-One of the longer arms you will see out there. Gets to spots he wants and plays the passing lanes well. He can handle it and make others better. Can rebound in traffic and a capable 3pt shooter. He is most comfortable slashing the lane and scoring it inside. Shooting stroke looks good.
DaRon Holmes PF 6’8 2021 Millennium HS (Powerhouse Hoops 16U UAA)
-Active all-around forward whose skill level keep improving. He is very comfortable from mid-range and his form is more polished from last year. He hit multiple 3’s throughout the weekend to add to his repertoire. Has decent post footwork but is primarily a face-up type. The one element in his game that can improve is his explosiveness. That being said, he was the most productive and efficient 16U player at the event. Top-50 player nationally.
Justus Jackson PG 6’0 2021 Millennium HS (Powerhouse Hoops 16U UAA)
-True floor general can also light up a scoreboard. Great next level court vision and also can stop on a dime and pull-up from mid-range, which is becoming his go to move. He has that deep ball and the floater game to finish in the paint. Quick on the ball defensively and sneaky athletic to play above the rim.
