Some top end teams joined the circuit this week leading to top players.
Here are some more of the top rising juniors at the event:
John Stewart SF 6’4 Westchester HS (DST Hoops 16U)
-Long quick twitch athlete who is super active on both ends of the court. Great defensively as he rebounds and block shots near him. Runs the court like a track kid and plays hard throughout the game. Can make strides with perimeter shooting and get a quicker release. (Pictured on cover)
Scotty Washington SF 6’4 2021 St. John Bosco (LA Elite 16U)
-Incredible length and moves gracefully up the court. Has good skill level and plays an unselfish game. Can use a euro step and pull-up off dribble. Good passer and defender using length and quickness. Good first step and can take contact and finish. A little thin but his upside is obvious.
Ethan McCanless PF 6’7 St. Pius X St Matthias HS (LA Elite 16U)
-Active on glass and fairly skilled. Left handed forward is strong inside to score it through contact. Needs to improve right hand but very athletic and plays hard. Keeps many plays alive and is best at put-backs off of misses.
Lorenzo Marsh SF 6’5 St. Anthony HS (LA Elite 16U)
-3pt Shooter with good length. Good energy to rebound in area and can handle the ball. He is a little skinny but smart and skilled.
Keith Higgins CG 6’3 Chaminade HS (BTI Select 2020)
-Consistent deep shooter who is active defensively. Good decision maker who takes care of the ball. Good speed and high IQ plus is more athletic than he gets credited for. He can thicken up some but nice upside for the future.
