D’Marco Dunn 6’4 2021 G Marana/PHH UAA
Dunn looked solid all day scoring the ball. He usually is more of a slasher but when he gets hot, he can stroke it from deep as good as anyone. He is always a capable shooter but not always a knockdown shooter, today he was a knockdown. He drove hard to the basket and got a lot of good looks for himself and switched it up with a hard step back off a drive for mid-range jumpers.
Carter Van Hammond 6’10 2021 F Perry/PHH UAA
Carter Van Hammond did nothing spectacular or outstanding, he just did his job. He gobbled up any boards that were in his area and turned away nearly every shot that was put up on him. He looked really impressive defensively. He still has room to improve offensively but he is getting there slowly and surely.
Kyree Walker 6’5 2020 G/F Hillcrest Prep/Dream Vision 17U
Kyree Walker is the complete opposite! Being a scoring machine! He can score in a number of ways. I personally love when just out muscles his defender and gets to the basket. Sometimes I feel like he settles for jumpers when he could get past his defender but he hits it. Walker is a good shooter but I feel like he is more productive when attacking the basket, he’s one of the best in the business at doing that.
Frankie Collins 6’0 2021 G AZ Compass Prep/Dream Vision Next
Collins showed some elite play making ability today. He is best known as a play making guard and he should stick to that. I noticed he did force a couple of shots in an attempt to get on the scores sheet but as he matures he will grow out of that. I think he should stick to his role as a play making guard because he is truly a special passer. He has elite court vision and makes everyone around him so much better.
