For us, we are looking at those top players from Indiana. Today, we are detailing the top players at the guard positions. Here are the best we saw at Havoc in the Heartland.
Jordan Gadis – 6’1 PG 2020 – Noblesville (IN) – Indiana Elite All-In 2020
Jordan keeps playing well as an on-ball guard with strength. He’s really good as a creator in the lane and has the body to handle pressure. Consistency with the jumper is one area to watch but plenty capable and room to grow.
Gavin Yoon – 6’1 PG 2020 – Lawrenceburg (IN) – Indiana Legends 2020
Gavin is a big, strong guard with some upside. He’s been pretty good this year working within the offense without taking over too much. He’s got a solid jumper but he was best this weekend showing his passing and creation. He’s got some good length too and can see his defense taking a step forward once in college.
Hunter Jackson – 5’11 PG 2020 – Arsenal Tech (IN) – Indy EBC 2020
Hunter is a big, tough lead guard with some speed and scoring ability. He’s great in the lane and has some shiftiness to him to create off the bounce. Like his balance in offense, able to shoot and drive well and equally within the course of a game. Was really aggressive at times this weekend looking to put up points in a hurry.
Lucas Deck – 6’1 SG 2020 – Central Noble (IN) – Tipping Point 2020
Lucas is a long, rangy guard who can provide some defensive switching and shooting ability. He’s got a long, but high release and it should work as a wing shooter. Good mobility and can help defensively against guards and some wings.
Paris Roberson – 5’9 PG 2021 – Gary West (IN) – Indiana Dawgz 2021
Paris is a small but tough lead guard who showed again how much value he can bring to the game. Great as an on-ball defender and creates offense from defense. Handles pressure well and can push the tempo. Want to see a little more as a jump shooter moving forward but he’s a pretty consistent performer this Spring.
Cody Wallis – 5’10 SG 2021 – Henryville (IN) – Southern Indiana Shock 2021
Cody is a small off-guard with solid handles but more of a penchant for driving right now. Some toughness and skill at the rim. Lefty who was finishing well against contact in the lane.
