For us, we are looking at those top players from Indiana. Today, we are detailing the top shooters. Here are the best we saw at Havoc in the Heartland.
Blake Barker – 6’1 PG 2021 – Columbus North (IN) – Grind Premier 2021
Blake has shown that he has the ability to shoot the ball. Now, the release is a bit odd and hitchy but it works for him and so far he is showing that he can repeat it. He’s best off the pull-up where he can create his own space and get to his hands the right way.
Clayton Bubash – 6’5 SF 2021 – Munster (IN) – Indiana Game 2021
Clayton has the high release and repeatability on his jumper for a wing that is going to make him coveted. Provides catch-and-shoot ability and have seen him create a bit as a side-step. Will want to see if his ball handling will allow him to develop more creation into the pull-up game long term.
Breece Walls – 5’10 PG 2022 – Valparaiso (IN) – Indiana Game 2022
Breece has shown that his jumper might be his best scoring tool right now. He’s really solid off the bounce and catch. While shorter, he has the quick release he needs and range to continually get it off. As he develops, want to see if he can move into the mid-range pull-up for him.
Tyler Schmidt – 6’3 SF 2020 – Victory Christian (IN) – Indiana Dawgz 2020
Tyler is a big wing who should be able to have a balanced scoring game. However, his jumper is capable of being the best tool he has. He’s got size and length so getting it off over defenders is not an issue at all. Best as a catch-and-shoot and guy right now.
Jordan Stolle – 6’4 SF 2020 – Richmond (IN) – Indiana Legends 2020
Stolle has always been a big shooter and we saw him do that a little more often this weekend. He’s going to need to be a little more aggressive because when he does, he can be potent. One highly dominant skill as a catch-and-shoot guy who can pull-up a bit.
