Both programs combined for for an overall 5-3 record, Georgia Stars going 2-2 and while AOT went 3-1. With only one more session to go in the Nike EYBL regular season, the fight for a Nike Peach Jam spot is on the line.
Through two session, the Georgia Stars are sitting at an overall 4-4 record sitting sixth in their division. They have been led by one of the nations top breakout prospects in 2020 Nahiem Alleyne, who is averaging 16.0 points per game through two sessions. Alleyne has been rising his stock in the national rankings this spring and has been on the right track. He is 6-foot-3 shooting guard who holds elite quickness and can score in bunches if you allow him too.
The Stars, led by coach Mike Arits, defeated Indy Heat (IN) and New York Lightining (NY) in their two wins in Indy. They fell to Expressions Elite (MA) and City Rocks (NY). The Stars will have five games in Dallas, Texas in two weeks during the EYBL’s third session. They will face All Ohio (OH), Team Takeover (DC), Team WhyNot (CA), Brad Beal Elite (MO), and Team Durant (DC).
For the AOT Running Rebels, after starting off their Nike EYBL season 1-3, they finish the second session at a 3-1 overall record, boosting their Nike Peach Jam resume. They sit at an overall 4-4 record and is also sitting sixth in their division. 2020 PG Sharife Cooper, 28.0 points per game, and 2020 SG BJ Boston, 19.6 points per game, continue to be the leaders of the pack. Sharife is currently the third leading scorer in the Nike EYBL averaging 25.0 points per game.
The Running Rebels defeated programs BABC (MA), Team Durant (DC), and Brad Beal Elite (MO) before falling to Indy Heat (IN) on their last day. They will also have five games to end the Nike EYBL regular season in Dallas, Texas and will face City Rocks (NY), Team United (NC), The Family (MI), Boo Williams (VA), and Mokan Elite (KS).
