Minnesota will be well-represented in the tournament as well, as there are several outstate Minnesota clubs that will be in attendance as well.
Here are some players to watch:
Drew Hagen, ECI Prospects 17U
The Moorhead produt is one of the best players for ECI Prospects and at 6-foot-5, he’s a valuable combo-forward who can defend and score within the flow of the offense. He’s a solid rebounder in and out of his area and when he can attack the rim off the bounce, he can be a handful.
Puoch Doboul, Inspired Athletics 17U
Doboul has been a solid piece for Inspired Athletics thus far on the circuit. The St. Cloud Apollo big man brings athleticism and energy to the equation and produces consistently thanks to a hot motor.
Belind Alemadi, ECI Prospects 16U
Alemadi has shown himself to be a really solid ball handler for ECI Prospects 16U. The Moorhead guard controls the tempo well, defends with good energy and can knock down 3-pointers at a solid rate.
Connor Wyse, Comets Bagnal 17U
Wyse comes from Elk River and brings good size to the wing for Comets Bagnal. This will be a good opportunity for him to stand out.
Tannner Brunsberg, ND Attack Blue – Park Christian
Brunsberg is the lone Minnesotan with ND Attack Blue, coming from Park Christian. He’s been one of the best players in Northern Minnesota, using a well-rounded game to fill up the stat sheet.
Brady Walthall, ECI Prospects 16U – Moorhead
Walthall is another talented ball handler from Moorhead playing with ECI Prospects 16U. He’s a good deep shooter but is at his best when he’s creating offense for his teammates. He’s a smart player who brings it on the defensive side of the floor as well.
Jack VanKempen, West Central Wildcats 17U – West Central Area
VanKempen was a productive player for West Central Area during the high school season and is one of the top players with this West Central Wildcats club. He’s one of the best big men in the tournament this weekend and will have a chance to prove himself against some really good North Dakota bigs.
Peyton Rohloff, West Central Wildcats Holleman 16U
Rohloff is a consistent interior scorer and rebounder from Hancock. He’s not the biggest guy around but his effort and energy allow him to consistently produce.
Cole Hedman, West Central Wildcats Holleman 16U – Benson
Hedman was a double figure scorer as a sophomore at Benson and brings that acumen to the AAU circuit where he’s aggressive and productive.
