WBC Elite Guard Rashod Smith: One of the better dual threat guards in his class in the state, Smith is one that D2 programs should be keeping a close eye on. He does a nice job of pitching the ball ahead when he wants to get out into transition for easy buckets. When the game is in the half court setting, he is just as impressive as he makes good reads and does a nice job of choosing when to facilitate and when to attack.
Big Shots NC Guard Jay Hickman: Last season at Terry Sanford he was looked upon to take on more of a leadership role and he played well getting about 13 PPG . He started off the season with Team Felton but more recently played with Big Shots NC where he seemed to fit in well . He can score the ball in various ways and is a solid defender when he truly dedicates himself on that end.
Juice All-Stars Guard Jase Ford: Ford is one that we have seen quite a bit over the past few years and he was able to show flashes of what we knew he could do during his time at Overhills last year. Scoring the ball in large amounts during small amounts of time is something you can get from him, once he gets rolling he is a tough player to stop.
PSB Elite Forward Garrett Hien: His stock continues to rise and rightfully so, he has the size at 6’9 and is performing well on the Grassroots level as well as the high school level. Wofford and Furman are two of the programs that have already offered, don’t be surprised to see more schools jump on board as he is a no brainer D1 prospect.
Carolina Wolves Guard Chance Minott: The progress that he has made over the past two years has been simply impressive. His end to end speed, ballhandling and ability to make plays for others was on full display at the most recent event he played in. Anytime you have a player with his skillset as well as a player who has played for a top program like Kinston over the years, then you have to be impressed.
Team Wall Forward Josiah Shackleford: After a solid junior season at Word Of God, he has put together some solid performances in the Spring as he looks to raise his stock over the next year. Rebounding and making plays inside the paint are areas where he is good, he understands how to use his upper body strength to play through contact . When he’s locked in on both ends of the floor he is not only a productive player but also an intriguing prospect.
