BigShots Elite Georgia is must-see basketball
If you haven’t seen BigShots Elite Georgia, formerly the Georgia Knights, play then you’re certainly missing out. 2020 forward Chris Youngblood is a bully in the post, wing Brandon Stroud is a smooth operator, Roman Son is a lead by example type of point guard that’s hard to stay in front of. 2020 wing Kirshon Thrash and forward Rasean Frederick are two other dominating players in the frontcourt as well.
BigShots Elite GeorgiaBigShots Elite Georgia are a deep squad that defends and plays the game at a high level. They’re a team that keeps coming at you in waves and this past weekend’s event, they went 4-0, winning by an average margin of 29.8 points per game. In their championship victory over Team Loaded VA 74-53, four players finished scoring in double figures. This is certainly a team you’ll need to get out and see in July.
J.T. Thor, Team Loaded
Team Loaded VA is a team full of studs
Outside of their loss in the Gold title game, Team Loaded VA was another team that fit the bill of “must-see” this past weekend. They were without 2020 forward Henry Coleman on Saturday but that didn’t stop them from going 2-0 in pool play.
2021 forward J.T. Thor, guard Brayon Freeman and Lehigh commit Ben Li led the way on Day 1. Thor finished with 18 points and Freeman and Li finished with 12 points apiece in their opening victory over Hill City Crash.
Coleman was back on Championship Sunday and picked up where he left off against BigShots Elite NC, finished with 15 points. Li finished with 10, Thor with 16 and Freeman with 13. Li is already headed to Lehigh and Thor, Freeman and Coleman are certainly high major prospects.
Team Trezz put on a show against No Guts No Glory Courage
Montrez Harrell came out to support his Team Trezz 2020 squad and they didn’t disappoint with an 84-45 victory over No Guts No Glory Courage. Six players finished scoring double figures as Team Trezz ran away with things from the very beginning.
2020 guard Linwood Grandy led all scorers with 14 points. 2020 forwards Keishon Porter and Reggie Raynor each scored 13 points each. Both showed their ability to score on all three levels as they each made a 3-pointer and finished above the rim. If you haven’t taken notice of Team Trezz , make sure you do in July.
Top scoring performances from Big Shots Carolina Memorial Classic
The top scorers from the Big Shots Carolina Memorial Classic came from some unexpected sources. 2020 forward Misha Zurabashvili is one prospect who put teams on notice. He scored 28 points on four made 3-pointers and eight made free throws against Tristars-Team Roper Sr.
Bennie Brooks, Team Wall BE2021 guard Bennie Brooks took home honors of the weekend’s best performance with 45 points in as his Team Wall Big East 2021 squad squeaked out an 84-83 victory over Boo Williams 434. Brooks is a prospect that college coaches will want to get a look at.
2022 wing Noah Ross was feeling it for BigShots Elite NC 2022 squad as he nearly scored 40 points, finished with 38 points on six made 3-pointers against Carolina Elite.
On the 14U circuit, Carolina Vipers guard Zeke Brock lit up the Carolina Rockets for 35 points on 14 made field goals, six of them from 3-point land. He’s an emerging floor general that’s fearless in all that he does.
