Many of these youngsters played a role on their high school squads and will be called upon to step up and contribute more to their high school teams, we saw quite a bit of potential and talent in this group.
Team Wall Big East 2021 Guard Christopher Gillikin: This was one of our first opportunities to get to see him play and he showed some of the tools that we had been hearing about. His shooting ability is what catches your attention about him pretty quickly, he has good range on his shot and moves pretty well without the ball.
Big Shots Elite NC 2021 Guard Emmanuel Sepulveda: Has impressive end to end speed as well as outstanding ballhandling skills and vision. We have seen him continue to develop and grow over the years and he is a very solid PG that will be a college prospect without a doubt. His passing is probably his most impressive attribute as he has a gift for completing passes that many cant, and he puts them on time and on target for teammates.
Big Shots Elite NC 2021 Guard Toby Harris: We saw him a few years back as he was an 8th grader, so to see his progression as well as how much he has grown in height was pretty cool. He has stretched out to about 6’5 now but still has the stellar 3 point shooting ability that we saw from him years back.
BWSL 2022 Wing Wilt Williams: Does a nice job of moving without the ball, and knocking down shots at high rate. Good size for a wing, doesn’t have much of an issue with getting his shot off, had a solid showing throughout the day.
SC Tigers 2021 Jaire Parker: Another young player to keep an eye on over the next few years, he doesn’t do a ton of things that will wow you but he makes the right plays at the right time. His defense was one of the more impressive traits about him, he pressures defenders without fouling and had a high rate of forced turnovers which led to easy buckets.
YKO 2022 Guard Westin Hughes: He was the main attraction for his squad as he is a PG that can put the ball in the bucket as well as make plays for his team. Already pretty advanced for his age, you can see the potential and upside without a doubt, he sees things before they happen and once he has a full head of steam he is tough to stop. Ball handling, speed and shooting are all areas where he excels right now, however we would love to see him get more comfortable with finishing with his off hand.
