From scoring guards to facilitators, uptempo style guards to half court floor generals, we have all types of players in the 2019 and 2020 Class covered.
Team Trezz 2020 PG Reggie Walton: Intensity is something that you will see from Walton just about every time he steps on the court. Constantly applying pressure on both ends of the floor, he’s either pushing the ball in transition to catch the defense off guard before they can set up, or picking up his opponent with full court defense. Getting to the paint was not much of an issue and he knocked down some shots at a good rate, including some clutch buckets from DTA.
Fayetteville Flash 2020 Guard Jamael Carter: The basketball IQ that we like about him was on full display this weekend, he isn’t the fastest guard but he’s skilled and smart. Knocking down the trey ball is one of his strong suits for sure, he has good range on his shot and was efficient throughout the day. Another area where he impressed was his decision making in Pick and Roll situations, he understands when to hit the roller, when to keep the ball and when to pull it out and reset.
Team Major Unsigned Senior Themus Fulk: All high school season long, he put up some big time scoring numbers, catching the attention of media members and college coaches. He didn’t have his best showing when we got the opportunity to see him but we saw flashes of the scoring brilliance at the ability to break down defenders with his ball handling and speed.
Team Trezz 2020 Guard Isaac Parson: Showed his ability to break the down the defense and either score or find a teammate for an assist. He has good acceleration and speed which you can see when he is constantly blowing by defenders, also showed some good defensive skills as well as he was solid on that end and defended without fouling.
DTA Elite 2020 Guard Anthony Allen: Each time we see him play, he brings something different to the table. Our first seeing him he scored the ball at a high level, second time seeing him he looked to facilitate more and get his team going. On our third occasion seeing him play, he showed a combination of both and it was an impressive performance with him scoring 24 Points and leading his team to a win vs a very talented squad.
Fayetteville Flash 2020 Guard Marquil James: Was one of the leading scorers in Cumberland County for public schools and we saw flashes of that this weekend as he put up 25 Points in the first game that we watched. Does a nice job of not only reading his defender but seeing where the help his coming from and attacking before the help defender can get there.
