Add these names to your list if you are a College coach as there are players that can play at each level and it showed on the court. We were impressed with the Guard play as well as some of the size and strength of others that looked like they are ready to step on a college campus.
910 Vengeance 2020 Guard Malachi Borders: Toughness is one word that describes this young man, he doesn’t back down from any challenge and has the ability to play through contact. You can play him at the Shooting Guard spot due to how well he shoots the ball but he also is a gifted passer that can play the PG spot and get everybody involved.
910 Vengeance 2020 Forward Quincy Martin Jr: Showed some flashes of how good he can be, regardless of whatever may be going on he keeps a cool and clam demeanor. He is starting to understand how to use his size better and didn’t settle for to many jump shots but instead attacked the basket for buckets,
Flight 22 2020 Guard EJ Bethea: Recently coming off of his commitment to attend Prep school he is now settling in as a Class of 2020 prospect, and it will be interesting to see how everything plays out. He didn’t have his best showing in the first game we saw but we did like the fact that he stayed aggressive even when his shot may not have been falling.
Team Wall SE 2020 Forward Jaden Scriven: Played like an absolute man when we got the chance to see them in their matchup with 910 Vengeance. He dominates inside the paint, rebounds, blocks shots, knocks down treys and finishes above the rim. A great young man off the court but once he steps on the court, it’s all business and he plays with a certain of edge to him that makes you want him on your squad.
Team Wall SE 2020 Guard Jalen Joiner: First thing you notice is that he is a bigger guard so he has the ability to see over defenses, when you combine this with his outstanding passing ability, you get a player that is a high assist guy. Another attribute we like about him is his speed and athletic ability, he blows by defenders and has the ability to play above the rim.
Team Wall SE 2020 Wing Daunte Gardner: The amount of energy and effort that he brings to the floor is what you notice about him almost instantly. He is constantly in the passing lanes, blocking shots, grabbing rebounds and defending players at multiple positions.
Big Shots Elite WV 2020 Wing Isaac Weaver: There was plenty of games this season at Mount Zion where he put up some big time scoring numbers, and AAU season is no different as he has a certain knack for scoring the ball. At his height he can rebound and finish in the paint but he has a skillset that allows him to make plays on the perimeter which includes knocking down outside shots.
Flight 22 2020 Guard Phil Martin Jr: He is beginning to see more time on the court and is making the most out of the opportunities that he gets, showing his ability to knock down shots at a high level. He has a smooth shooting stroke from three point land and has good range on his shot, we also saw him play on the ball at the PG spot during a few stretches.
