Demetrius Washington – Mountain Island Charter (Mount Holly) – Team Phoenix (pictured on front)
Washington 5’11 was a pleasant surprise today with his play on the floor. Washington a wide receiver on the football field was quite shifty with the ball in his hands. Washington got the ball into the cracks of the defense all day long. Washington really wants to play and get out and push the ball. Washington a bit of a streaky shooter was able to plays for others on the floor.
Perez BowserPerez Bowser – Arborbrook Christian (Matthews) – Team Loaded North Carolina 704 Curry
Bowser 6’1 point guard informed Prep Hoops that he will attend Moravian Prep (Hickory) next season. Bowser was one-time playing with Team Charlotte in the past. Bowser averaged 22 ppg and 5.2 assists this past season at Arborbrook Christian.
Anthony AllenAnthony Allen – Independence HS – DTA Elite
Allen connected on shots today from downtown at a high rate. Prep Hoops has seen Allen several times this spring and he just keeps on producing every time out he plays. Allen plays with a good deal of confidence on the floor and at times he needs to make the simple plays simple. Allen dialed up several times from long distance today in a win over Team Major.
Dylan BlakeDylan Blake – First Flight HS (Kill Devil Hills) – Dennis Smith Jr. Elite
Blake averaged 20.9 ppg and 7.5 rebounds for the Nighthawks. Blake shot 34% (98-292) from three point range this past season. Blake is a SHOOTER and really likes to shoot from deep. Blake has a quick shot release and always seems to be shot ready. Blake 6’0 played last summer on the Grassroots Circuit with Flight 22.
Derrick ButlerDerrick Butler – Concord First Assembly – Team Knicks 17U
Butler is a strong guard who came into First Assembly this past season. Butler excels with a nice mid-range game and his ability to get to the basket. Butler rebounds the ball well on both sides of the floor. Prep Hoops first saw Butler play last season at Big Shots hosted by Team United while at Nation Ford HS.
