Jalen Calvert 6’5 F Legion of Hoops White 2019
Calvert was super impressive defensively this weekend. He only stands at 6’5 but is a low post shot blocker! He has insane leaping ability and perfect timing which may him an absolute threat on defense. In one game, he turned away 10 shots….10 blocks!
Dre Henry 6’8 F PHH Rise 2020
Dre Henry also looked very good in terms of his timing and shot blocking ability. He showed how much speed he has by demonstrating his quick recovering skills. If he got beat going to the rim, he would quickly make up for the space and send the shot into the wall.
Osasere Ighodaro 6’10 F PHH Rise 2020
Osasere was much like Calvert and Henry, turning away shots with great efficiency. He has great length and stands at 6’10, which makes him a threat a big time threat whenever you are driving to the paint. Most of his blocks came without him even leaving his feet because he is so long.
Tanner Poeschl 6’6 F The Show 2020
Tanner was absolutely locking kids up. He also has great shot blocking timing and solid size to go along with it. He is almost sneaky with his blocks. You don’t quite think he will get there in time or attempt to block it and then he goes flying through the air to turn away a shot.
Joseph Ogbebor 6’4 G Coastal Elite Slayers 16U 2021
Joseph is our only entry that is not a shot blocker. Instead, he would rather lock you up and trap you in a corner. When you are being guarded by him, it is extremely difficult to get your shot off or attack the basket. He has great strength and speed to go along with it and will often beat his opponent to spots and push them out.
