Jalen Hampton 6’5″ STL Hustle: A bouncy combo forward from University City who was excellent on the final day of the tournament. He is athletic and he plays with a high motor, plus he’s skilled enough to become a matchup problem for opposing defenders. He’s an excellent offensive rebounder who runs the court like a gazelle in transition. He also has solid handles on the drive.
Sam Thompson 6’9″ LHBA: The talented young big from Francis Howell led his team to the 16U championship game. He was a force on both ends of the court. On defense, he blocked two or three shots a game and protected the rim quite well. On offense, everything runs through him because of his ability to score in the post combined with his ability to pass the ball and make his teammates better. He can also step out and make perimeter jumpers.
Collin Parker 6’6″ Mid Mo Rebels: A versatile combo forward from Montgomery County who is comfortable on the perimeter and in the low post. He spends much of his time in the post for his grassroots team where he can use his size and shooting touch around the basket. He also has solid handles and passing ability on the perimeter.
Caleb Taylor 6’3″ SW IL Jets Blue: A bouncy forward from Hazelwood Central who plays well in the effort game because he can get a lot of things done without getting a lot of touches on the offensive end. He is a very active offensive rebounder and he also gets a lot of action in the transition game where he can spark his team with a fast break dunk.
