This class is talented and deep at multiple positions. Something to make note of is Coach Acuff’s move to Lipscomb. We expect Lipscomb to be a heavy Alabama recruiter now. Several 2020 prospects will be attending various elite camps during the summer. Here’s the latest news for the 2020 class.
Rongie Gordon (ATL Xpress)- The 6’8 big has several high major offers and interest from others. Gordon will be on campus for the “Big Cat” Weekend at Auburn. Skill wise, Gordon fits the way Auburn wants to play and how they utilize their bigs.
Colby Jones (Alabama Fusion)- Jones’ play in EYBL has turned many heads and solidified the 6’5 guard as a HM prospect. Jones is also going to be on campus at Auburn. This kid has blown up and is finally showing his true potential.
Jadan Coleman (Alabama Fusion)- The 6’4 sniper has picked up an offer from Samford. Coleman has excelled in his role with the Fusion, and multiple teams have interest in him. Samford is a team that is in need of more perimeter scoring threats with shooting ability. Coleman fits their style well.
Austin Harvell (Alabama Fusion)- Harvell is one of the most versatile and unselfish prospects in the state. The 6’6 wing is a swiss army knife. Troy recently offered, and we expect more offers to follow. Harvell doesn’t have the most eye popping stats, but the kid excels in his role.
Sam Youngblood (Hawks Elite)- Youngblood is one of the most improved perimeter players in the 2020 class. The 6’2 combo guard recently unofficially visited Wofford and has visits lined up with Lipscomb and Mercer. Youngblood has improved his playmaking and has been a consistent 3 level scorer all spring.
Cole Larue (Hawks Elite)- Larue is a 6’8 skilled big. Larue has shown toughness on the glass and very good vision this spring. The 6’8 big was also on campus at Wofford this past weekend. We expect MM schools in the southeast to keep an eye on Larue.
Sedrick Pettway (Alabama Celtics)- Pettway is a 6’5 wing who has really improved as a 3 level scorer. This kid is long, athletic, and crafty. NAIA Langston University has offered. We expect Pettway to have more NAIA offers along with D2 and LM interest.
